Once we pass the age of 40, we must pay attention to nourishing the liver and kidneys. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it is believed that the liver governs the tendons and the kidneys govern the bones. If the liver and kidneys are in poor health, the waist, legs, tendons, and bones will suffer, leading to issues such as lower back pain, leg pain, arthritis, osteoporosis, and lumbar disc herniation. Therefore, it is essential to supplement the liver and kidneys after 40. Today, I will share three Chinese patent medicines to help replenish your liver and kidneys.

The first is San Shen Wan (Three-Kidney Pill). If you are very sensitive to the cold, have cold hands and feet, experience soreness and pain in the lower back, constantly feel as if a cold draft is emanating from deep within your bones in the waist and legs, lack energy, get short of breath with slight exertion, and suffer from physical weakness, difficulty maintaining an erection, or premature loss of firmness, you may consider San Shen Wan to replenish the "Yuan Yang" (primordial yang) and nourish the "Zong Jin" (ancestral sinews).

The second is Zigan Bushen Wan (Liver and Kidney Nourishing Pill). If you frequently experience dizziness, heart palpitations, insomnia, excessive dreaming, soreness in the waist and legs, or a dry and bitter taste in the throat, you may consider Zigan Bushen Wan.

The third is Duhuo Jisheng Wan. If you often suffer from pain in the waist, legs, and knees, as well as arthritis—where you sometimes find it difficult to stand up after squatting for a short while, or experience distressing knee pain and numbness in the surrounding skin whenever the weather changes or it rains—you may consider Duhuo Jisheng Wan to nourish the liver and kidneys, strengthen the tendons and bones, and alleviate pain.

However, please note that the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine requires syndrome differentiation. If needed, please consult a professional physician for diagnosis, treatment, and conditioning in a timely manner.
