Scrotal dampness, frequent and urgent urination—what to do about recurring symptoms?
Are you constantly dealing with dampness in the scrotum and inner thighs, along with frequent and urgent urination? These uncomfortable symptoms can significantly affect your mood, yet many don't know how to handle them. Today, I will share a formula to help you resolve this issue.
The primary cause of this condition is the long-term consumption of spicy, stimulating foods or alcohol, which leads to the internal generation of "damp-heat." When damp-heat accumulates in the liver and gallbladder and flows downward to the scrotum, it causes dampness in the scrotal and groin area. This is often accompanied by symptoms such as a bitter taste in the mouth, dry mouth, yellowing of the eyes, constipation, and dark yellow urine. In such cases, it is necessary to clear heat and drain dampness. You may consider a modified version of Longdan Xiegan Wan. In this formula, Gentiana (Longdan Cao) drains liver fire and clears damp-heat; Alisma (Zexie) promotes diuresis to relieve strangury; Gardenia (Zhizi) drains fire from the "triple burner"; Plantain Seed (Cheqianzi) promotes urination to expel dampness; and Bupleurum (Chaihu) soothes the liver and relieves stagnation. Combined with other herbs, these ingredients work together to clear liver fire and benefit the gallbladder, effectively eliminating the damp-heat pathogens accumulated in the liver and gallbladder systems.
However, please note that everyone's constitution is different, and medication dosages vary accordingly. If you have any issues, seek medical attention promptly and use medications only under the professional guidance and dialectical diagnosis of a doctor.
