In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it is often said that "accumulation is the source of all diseases." If too many toxins and waste products accumulate in the human body, it easily leads to stagnation and blockages; when there is no flow, a hundred diseases arise. TCM identifies these five types of "waste" as accumulation of Qi, Blood, Cold, Phlegm, and Dampness. Many patients suffer from all five types of accumulation simultaneously, feeling unwell throughout their entire bodies all day long. Today, I will share a practical prescription with you: Wuji San (Five Accumulations Powder).

In the formula, Platycodon (Jiegeng) and Aurantii Fructus (Zhiqiao) can eliminate Qi accumulation. Platycodon raises the clear Qi, while the medicinal property of Aurantii Fructus moves downward, breaking through blocked Qi mechanisms. With one rising and one falling, the body's Qi flow becomes smooth. White Peony Root (Baishao), Angelica Sinensis (Danggui), and Chuanxiong can eliminate Blood accumulation; used together, they remove stasis and generate new blood, nourishing the blood without leaving stagnation. Atractylodes (Cangzhu), Poria (Fuling), Pinellia (Banxia), and Licorice (Gancao) can eliminate Phlegm accumulation, transforming phlegm, dispelling dampness, and strengthening the spleen and stomach. Ephedra (Mahuang), Cinnamon Bark (Rougui), Angelica Dahurica (Baizhi), and Dried Ginger (Ganjiang) can eliminate Cold accumulation; the combination of these four herbs restores the body's Yang Qi and expels wind-cold. Tangerine Peel (Chenpi) and Magnolia Bark (Houpu) can eliminate Food accumulation; the combination of these two herbs clears accumulated matter from the gastrointestinal tract.

A reminder to everyone: Traditional Chinese Medicine requires syndrome differentiation. If needed, please consult a professional physician for timely diagnosis, treatment, and conditioning.
